Hi, I bought this car a few weeks ago and have been over speed bumps twice since. Both times there was a scrapping noise, but yesterday sounded worse. I looked under the car and saw a bit of metal (?) Hanging down. Not sure if this was already there or damage as a result of going over the speed bumps. I’m thinking of trying to push the metal piece back up tonight and see if that makes a difference. I’m keen to know if Alfa Romeo’s are usually lower than other cars? And whether I should be taking the car to a garage? Thanks!

Hi Sarah,

Yes. More than likely this is something that needs to be put back in place. These cars are lower than others but they shouldn't scrap on speed bumps that are standard height. I would just have the vehicle put on a hoist and have it inspected for what has scrap marks on it then you know what is making contact and if it is out of place.

Let me know what they find and I will be happy to assist further if needed.
