Engine Performance problem
1999 Porsche Boxster 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive 78,000 miles

after taking off tb for cleaning including idle air control valve, and putting back together, the car will start but idles really bad and when I give it gas it backfires and won't idle above 1000 rpm. I also have a cel after installing k& n air filter. Took out maf sensor and cleaned several times, put original filer back in, erased codes (1123/1125/1128/1130), but it keeps coming back. Any way to check these 2 sensors with multi-meter?

1123 and 1125 means the air/fuel ratio is to rich and it can't lean it out any more. Make sure theres nothing stuffed into the intake, i.E. Shop rag etc. 1128 and 1130 means its too lean. Cleaning a maf sensor is never recommended because it gets contaminated with the cleaner.K-n filters often damage maf sensors if to much oil is on the filter. To sum up, make sure the intake is not blocked and you will probably need a new maf sensor. Hope this helps.
