The vehicle starts up fine and will accelerate when I shift into D or R just fine. However, sometimes when I'm driving, and I come to a stop it will accelerate very slowly. It basically will not move when I accelerate. The RPMs do move on the dash panel but there is very little movement from the vehicle. I've noticed that if I turn the vehicle off for a few seconds and start it back up it drives perfectly normal. The only code I've gotten is P0014, which I replaced but still having the same issue.

This sounds like it could be a fuel pump that is going bad, but the code says there is a problem with the camshaft sensor which could cause an issue as you have described. Here is the location of the sensor so you can check it out:

The error code P0014 on a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer refers to a problem with the exhaust camshaft position timing over-advanced or system performance on Bank 1. This code indicates that the engine control module (ECM) has detected an issue with the timing of the exhaust camshaft on the bank of cylinders 1-3.

The most common causes of the P0014 code include:

Faulty camshaft position sensor: The camshaft position sensor may be malfunctioning, providing incorrect readings to the ECM, leading to timing issues.

Variable Valve Timing (VVT) solenoid malfunction: The VVT solenoid controls the oil flow to the camshaft phaser, which adjusts the camshaft timing. If the solenoid is stuck or not working properly, it can cause timing problems.

Timing chain or belt issues: A stretched or worn timing chain or belt can affect the camshaft timing, resulting in the P0014 code.

Engine oil problems: Low or dirty engine oil can disrupt the operation of the VVT system, leading to timing issues.

Check out the images (below). Please let us know how it goes.
