I just replaced the water pump and thermostat in our vanbut it occasionaly acts like it will over-heat and there is no heat in the van. I have "burped" the upper cooloing hose, and I have been watching and topping off the anti-freeze as well but it still acts like it will over-heat, and the van is freezing.

Do you have an electric fan or a clutch fan? Take the thermostat back out and see what happens and report back your findings.

Feel the radiator-should be warm all over-not cold on some spot-if so its clogging up-do a radiator flush use the hi tech stuff from the good stuff guys NAPA.
