1997 Pontiac Transport Dead ECM

My car will only start if I pour gas directly into the intake. I put a OBD11 scan tool to the OBD port and it won't communicate with the ECM. MIL light now won't come on. Do you think my computer is dead. How can I home in on the problem?

Sorry should have told you what I have already done.

I checked all fuses, links and relays. Checked TPS, Crank sensors, Checked all connections and ground to pcm. Also checked wiring for fraying etc, so far no luck.
