Day before noticed idle slightly rising then droping while at a stop. Next day ran fine, then suddenly lost all power and died while on highway. Towed car home, after sitting for 8hrs car started right up but surges excessively when in park, in drive car lunges rythmatically and after minutes it stalls and becomes difficult to start. Temperature last couple of days dropped to -14 deg C, no Codes, any idea?
Thanks

The smaller GM cars around those years had some issues with the catyletic converters plugging. Loosen the exhaust pipe at the manifold and start the car. It will be loud but that lets the exhaust out without going through the converter. Drive it a little and see if it has normal power. Let me know how it goes

I completely disconnected the exhaust pipe going to the manifold and this did not change the condition.

Check the fuel pressure. Has the car been tuned up? The coil housing on that engine should be replaced during a major tune. Also check for vacuum leaks
