Engine Performance problem
1999 Pontiac Sunfire 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 190 k miles

thanks for your response, I appreciate it. By cold outside I mean its winter and temps are around -10. I was wondering if that winter air is too cold coming through a tornado filter and wouldnt be very good for the engine. So I would be better off with the stock box you say? Even if it is a bit more restrictive?

If you like the intake noise and just a few more hp, then by all means go for it. The PCM will adjust for the air temp outside. Sounds as though you may need a fuel additive to keep it from freezing

Hey thanks I appreciate your help. No I dont think it will freeze up, I havent used it in the winter actually so I dont have any problems with the temp. I was just curious if the cold air would have any adverse affects. Thanks again.

Engines make the best power with cool slightly damp air.
