Key will not come out of ignition?

Key will not come out of ignition. It starts fine and drives ok, but when I stop the car the key doesn't go all the way into the off position. I have tried moving the wheel back and forth while attempting to extract it and I've started, stopped and moved it forwards and in reverse with no effect. Any suggestions?

. How to fix problem from viiccountry. If the key won't come out, make sure the shifter is in park. Look at the button in the front of the shifter, pull out at the bottom of it. It may be stuck out and will not unlock the key. I have two sunfires this happened to. The rubber cover gets jammed in the button on the shifter. Good Luck
