1993 Pontiac Sunbird Prom?

Computer problem
1993 Pontiac Sunbird 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

basically the car runs very rough, while accelerating from a complete stop the car feels like it wants to stall out and is very sputtery. Also, the problem is much worse in reverse.

I have had it at many shops one of which for 11 days!
The computer has been scanned several times, and every time there are no codes. The computer has been changed twice and still no codes.
They now think it might be the prom, but they can't find one to replace it with.
I'm wondering if you know where I could find one or if you have any other advice of what could be causing the problem.

You could get a used computer from a salvage yard and the prom would still be in it, that would be the easiest way, have they tried the dealer id still think they could get one.

Well, none of the salvage yards around have the same computer, there are a couple close ones, but the numbers aren't the same.
And the parts guys at the dealer say they can't get that part because it's too old.
I think i'm going to ask the service dept. At the dealer to see if they might be able to get one.
Do you know if the prom is universal or if it needs to be the exact same?

There were so many updates that there are a number of proms that will work, they should have a list
