1988 Pontiac Station Wagon brake troubles

Ok my brakes don't work 100% so I took the lid of the brake resivour and with it off pressed the brakes all the way down and it almost drained the front compartment so my question is did this help, do nothing or make it worse

It made it worst-what you did there is you let air in the brake system-Bleed the brakes from R/R, L/R, R/F, L/F while bleeding keep an eye on the fluid level don't make it go down-
