I have a 2006 pontiac vibe and I was wanting to know where exactly the heater element goes on the engine block when you plug it in the winter and what exactly I have to take off the engine, it already cost me 110 bucks for the heater element and it will cost 150 more if someone does it and I dont have that kind of money. Please help me.

You have to remove the closest freeze plug to the center of the engine and install it-its a lot easier if its an in-line block heater that you install on the heater hose.
