My tail lights and instrument panel light are all out and when my door is open it chimes at me like my lights were left on. The fuses listed for tail lights are on the side of the dash but there are no fuses in the slot listed for tail lights and no metal contacts in the slots for tail light fuses. The fuse panel under the hood doesn't show anything that would be appropriate for my problem. Any thoughts?

Try replacing the park lamp fuse in the underhood fuse block number 37. Now the fuse is blowing for some reason. Check to see if you have any lights out after replacing the fuse or if you have trailer wiring. If you have trailer wiring, disconnect and try. Shorts can be very difficult to diagnose without seeing it in person
