Shakes or Wobbles problem
2001 Pontiac Montana 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive 88,000 miles

What is a fair price to fix a broken tie rod on a 2001 Pontiac Montana?

The front end is wobbling.

These are hard questions to answer accurately due to depending on where you live, what type and how many repair shops are around.
Large cities with well known chain stores, or dealers will charge from $120-$250 plus parts and alignment.
Smaller towns with good locally owned repair shops should do it for $70-$140 plus parts and alignment.
Anytime front end work is done an alignment is a must, $40-$80
Parts you can find price online, you will probably need more than just a tie rod, (at least the adjustment sleeves) usually when one part wears it tends to wear everything else.
Shops will usually check it out, tell you what all it needs and give an estimate for free. I suggest this first because its hard to tell whats worn out or not by looking at it and if you dont fix it right, it wont last.
