I have a 1999 Pontiac Transport. When pressing the door lock/unlock button on the remote or on the door, the locks on both of the sliding doors do not work? Any ideas where to start?

Your probably looking at replacing the door lock actuators, listen closely to see if you can hear them making noise when you hit the button, if they make noise and dont move the actuators are the culprat

Thanks Jim.

I did as you said to do. There is no sound at all coming from the door when I press the lock button.

The one door decided to start working on its own. :)

If you have a test light and some help, you can pull the panels and have someone hold the button while you check for power on both sides, in and out, tel you the truth at the dealer we used to just bang on the actuator and they would work sometimes , then we would replace them, lmk
