I recently purchased a unit that is supose to be installed in my vehicles Intake air temp sensor that claims to increase gas mileage and performance. First I am unsure if I found the correct pplace for the sensor. I thought is was the plug sensor that is on the air intake housing(right by the air filter, on the outside)

yours is either in the air cleaner box or on the intake manifold itself. if you have only one electrical item on the air cleaner box or air intake hoses, it is your MAF sensor not your IAT sensor.
