The air conditioner in my car blows cold air and the it will blow properly from low, or 1, to high, or 5. The problem is that no matter if it set it to floor, front, or winshield the air will come out of all the vents. I can't redirect the air at all.

I did listen to see if it could here a sound when I moved the control to different positions but I didn't hear anything.

I don't know what to check or where to even start to fix this problem.

HELP?

Check and suspect a vacuum hose
start under the hood check supply vacuum hose
also Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the vacuum tank and check for vacuum
