My Grand Prix has a loss of power when it accelerates and does not want to change gears unless I let off the accelerator. When it doesn't change gears, it starts to lag even more and I have heard a knocking sound at times.
My check engine light came on several weeks ago and the mass flow sensor was changed. That fixed the problem I had then, but still have this problem.
It idles good and cruises good.
Was told maybe a fuel filter, but seems more serious than that.
Also have new plugs and wires.
Do you
have the same problem?

Check the level and condition of your transmission fluid. When was the last time the transmission serviced?

Also, can you post the code numbers you received from the check engine light? I also need the engine size if further diagnostic is needed.
