I have a 2002 grand prix and the key will not come out of the ignition. The same thing happened with my 1998 grand am right before I got rid of it, any idea what could be the problem?

Can you turn the cylinder all the way to the LOCK position?

Amyandandy1508, I have the exact same car and had the same problem, the easiest way to go about it is when u shut the car off tilt the steering wheel all the way up, underneth the steering column there is a nice sized square hole that u can put your finger in at the top u should feel a button that u can push in with your finger tip. This switch is the ingnition switch/release. I do it every day and it works fine for me, its as little annoying but its better then having to leave your keys in the car.
