Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2002 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

How do I replace the driver side driveline on my 2002 Grand Prix 40th Anniversary Edition? Without removing the hub assembly I was unable to push the driveline bck far enough to clear the hub.

You have to disconnect the tie-rod end and the ball-joint, as well as removing the spindle-nut and tapping the end of the Halfshaft with a hammer. Once done, use a slide-hammer to pop the halfshaft free of the transaxle. If you don't have the appropriate slide-hammer, apply pressure with a large flathead and hit the Upper CV Joint with a hammer to pop it loose.
