Hello,

I was wondering if you can help me out?
I have a couple of questions about Synthetic motor oil?

1. Is synthetic better? IF so, why?
The name synthetic sounds so labratory-like.

2. How often does synthetic motor oil need to be changed compared to conventional motor oil?

3. Most miles are hwy miles while others are 20 mile commutes to work (hwy) one way?

4. What are the more popular synthetic motor oils, and which are the more affordable?

Thanks,

Synthetic does a much better job of carrying dirt to the oil filter, instead of 3,000 mile oil changes, you can go 5,000 miles, synthetic is more expensive than regular oil by a factor of X2.
