2001 Pontiac Grand Prix Rear left wheel rolls in reverse bu

The rear laft wheel locks up when I try to put the car in drive. It rolls fine in reverse but when I go back to drive only the left one locks up. The rear right works just fine. Is this somehow related to the parking brake? I pushed down on the parking brake and then pushed again to release multiple times but it still would not move forward. When I had it pushed down it would not go in reverse or forward. When I released it only the left rear wheel would not move forward.

Raise rear of car and removee wheel and inspect the brake pads, if wheel will not turn, then parking brake, caliper or bearing.

If parking brake, then the cable is most likely binding.
