I had the same problem! It is located under the passenger side dash you need to remove the foot guard its held in by plastic pins you will need a pare of pliers the resistor is left of the fan motor you will need a ratchet 1/4 inch or a screw driver that has an adapter on it so you can put a socket on it if you use the ratchet you will need a extension it has three screws holding it in place brass colored one of them is very difficult to get at so you well need patience if you cant get at it just pull real hard it may brake the old one but its junk any way I was able to leave the screw in place becuse the new one is notched not a hole you wil slide the new one in to the screw that you cant reach first then install the other two screws your done put the foot guard back in place do be careful not to damage the porcelain part of the resistor it is fragile!
