2000 Pontiac Grand Prix transmission slip and winds

My transmission slips and winds occasionally. It usually only occurs after driving two or more hours at a time. A rebuilt transmission was already installed into it in 2006. Could the problem be that it needs a simple flush and new filter?

Hi there,

I would start there, but I would get a qualified trans tech to do this as they will be able to do a test and report that may find any under lying problems that a general mechanic may miss, start here.
