Hi- I recently noticed a decrease in my gas mileage. It was suggested by my mechanic that I should change the oxygen sensor. I changed only the one on the manifold and he said that I don't need to change the other near the converter. Is this true? Thank You Russell[img:99e398b6e3]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/151492_DSC00023_1.jpg[/img:99e398b6e3]

he is correct, the one after the catalytic converter is used to read catalytic efficency, to see if the converter is bad or not.
