2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Ignition Switch

The key will remain locked into the ignition after selecting "Park" and switch to off. After several restarts and transmision selections to another gear, then back to park the key will release. Whats my problem, ignition switch or transmision selector?

It sounds like the linkage for the transmission may not be going all the way into park. On the other hand, it could be the tumbler. Have you tried lubericating the tumbler itself?
