2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Engine knocks

My grand prix is knocking. I noticed the noise last night. I ran it hard on the freeway 105mph. Then when I come off the freeway I noticed the knock. I still have full engine performance, well I cant truly say that cause once I noticed the knock I drove it slowly home. I keep my oil changed reguarly. Please advise.

If knock is constant and increases with engine speed, it is most likely a rod bearing.

You would have to remove oil pan and check rods.

Remove serpentine belt and run engine for 20 seconds (engine cold), if knock goes away, then an assy drive pulley, or alt. AC, PS, WP.
