I have noises that sound like rattling bearings coming from what I believe is the A/C compressor. This part is forward-most on the serpentine belt, and the lowest part on the belt. Is this an easy off/on replacement that an owner can do with a rebuilt part or is it better to take it in and have it done?

How expensive is a rebuilt part, and is it a hugely expensive fix at a shop?

Thank you very, very much.

You could have the AC pu mps bearings being replaced. I would contact a dealership and find out the options

if a rebuild is possible or more likely the pump will have to be replaced. Thats a good 300 dollars
