We purchased a 1999 Grand Prix w/10100.00 miles for our son's "first car" and within 2 weeks the fuel gauge has become erratic and the power drivers seat quit working. We had it checked by a friend who is a service tech before we bought it and he said it was in very good condition. Please help. Thank You, John

Check the fuse for the power seat, it may be blown.

The fuel gauge may be bad or varnish has built up on sending unit giving erratic readings.
Use a gas additive called "SeaFoam" in tank (use 1 can for each full tank of gas) and try a couple of cans.
This will help considerably in cleaning varnish from fuel components.
