As soon as i start the car I hear a small hissing/buzzing sound coming from underneath the car in the rear almost close to the gas tank, checked for holes in the muffler or converter everything seems fine, a mechanic said it could be fuel pump going bad. Can anyone help!!!!!!

hi
you can have someone else turn the key and put your ear below the rear bumper to check if the fuel pump is suspect , sometimes they will make noise forever and never die ,others will die quick

let me know if you need more help

oh and leave some feedback if you were happy with your help , we all donate our time here helping others free of charge

maybe and maybenot ur fuel pump is bad...but whoever told u that didn't charge u for diagnostic n hand u an invoice for reason and cause...i know i wouldn't bank on it..cause just like what we do here..just speculation and hypothesis...things that make noise around gas tank..let see...high possibility for evap sys....do this man...go auto zone and pull a code 1st...at least that'll eliminate evap since ur car is OBD2....if it is evap....u need L1 tech to fix ur problem....
