1998 Pontiac Grand Prix

Hello,

I have a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix with one windshield wiper that works and one that does not.

My windshield was covered in snow. I had left my wipers on the time before I was last in my car. I should have turned off my wipers the second I realized this, but I didn't. I continued to scrape the snow off of my windshield. I got my driver's side wiper loose before the passenger side wiper. Now the passenger side wiper does not work.

I'm hoping that this is something I can fix.

Thanks,
Kozzie **a stressed out woman!**

There are two possibilities.
The post that the wiper arm attaches to has small grooves on it that match the hole on the arm.

The grooves have stripped out on the arm.
You can take the wiper arm off and watch the post to see if it goes back and forth with the wiper switch turned on.

Or
the linkage under the window cowling broke.
