Hello, I hope you can help me.
My radio in my 1997 Pontiac powers back on after the door is closed and the key is removed from the ignition.
This just happened recently, however it has alway had no interior lights. When I would turn the switch to turn them on I would hear a relay clicking behind the glove box. Sometimes the interior lights would flash with the clicking, and sometimes they would not. Occasionally the radio would go off for a few seconds then come back on. I'm More worried about the radio not turning off, even if you shut it off the clock still displays, I think this will drain the battery.

The radio is connected to a switched power source and a constant power source (so you don't have to reset the clock).

You are going to have to remove the radio and find out what is going on (wire frayed, shorted).
