shift lock release?

The gear shift is stuck in park, the button on the gear shift is stuck and wont release?

First check for working brake lights, if they are out, adjust or replace the switch on the brake pedal, adjust it by pushing it in the the bracket, then pull up on the brake pedal. Now with brake lights working, if it still won't shift, here is the proccess to adjust the BTSI solinoid...
