1995 Pontiac Grand Prix 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

When the car is accelerating, smoke comes from the exhaust pipes.A lot of it. What should I get looked at when I take it in. It's a used car that I just bought about a week ago on a whim and would just like to get an idea of what I should be looking forward to paying to get it tuned-up.

Blue smoke or white smoke?

Blue is oil and white is cooant. White would indicate a head gasket or intake manifold gasket, and would indicate AT LEAST new head gaskets or intake manifold gasket. If white stop driving car, or you can get coolant in oil and spin a main bearing.

Blue smoke under acceleration could be rings, under deceleration it is valve seals.
