1995 Pontiac Grand Prix Brakes Locked Up

When you press on the gas it feels like the parking brake is on. And when you pick up some speed and let off the gas it slams to a stop. Like the brake pedal had been slammed on. This makes me think the brakes are locked up. What would cause this?

Hi there,

you may have a hydraulic problem there may be residual line pressure building up in the system, if there is no swerving or uneven breaking I would check that the master cylinder has enough pedal clearance, also jack up the car and check each wheel to see if it is over tight, report your findings for more assistance.
