Oil pump and oil pressure sending unit (00 Grand Am GT)

65K milage. Oil light keeps commin on and going off randomly seems like. Just did an oil change and did have not seen it come on yet. If the oil pump or the sending unit are going bad how would I know if they were and how do I check? And where would I find both?

I just had the same problem but mine was a 93 grand am the problem with mine was a bad cluster. To check whats wrong hook up your car up to a computer. Your car is a newer model try Autozone, Advanced Auto Parts, Checker. Those places last time I checked dont charge anything to have it connected to the computer hope that helped. If it was the oil pump the car would only travel a certain speed.
