2003 Pontiac Grand Am heater blower switch

The blower fan works, but only when I put it on the #5 setting. #1 to #4 doesn't blow, but the heater does appear to work. I think it just needs a new blower fan switch, but I don't have any idea how to replace. Is there somewhere that I can get pictured instructions to remove the section of the dash and how to replace this switch? Hopefully there is a free place on the internet to obtain this information.

Any suggestions?

Sounds more like the blower motor resistor is defective-Go ahead and inspec/test the blower relay in the underhood fuse block. Also see below
