2002 Pontiac Grand Am Steering feels like I am driving on I

Hi. Yesterday I was driving on a highway at 65mph and it felt like I was on ice. If I corrected the steering, at1st it felt like nothing happens then I correct again and it over corrects. Feels like I do not have control. What does this sound like to you?

HELLO_

What you mean is that there is no power assist,the steering is not firm when driving on the high way.
Check power steering fluid level, if low raise the car and check for leak.if the fluid level is not low, the Magnasteer unit is defective.The whole rack must be replaced.
