the security light keeps coming on is there a fix for it. Will it hurt if I keep driving it

Hi:
Chances are the key you are using needs replaced because the chip in it is no longer working properly. Try a different key to see if that helps. Also, if it doesn't, you may need to contact a dealer to have it scanned. They have the proper test equipment. Finally, if the light is always, at some point the security system may make the car not start.
