I am getting ready to replace the front wheel bearing because everytime I turm my steering wheel to the left I hear a groaning sound and also when I am driving on the highway or streets going straight ahead I hear the same groaning sound. I would like to know before I change the bearings if this will resolve my problem?

Hi there,

A groaning noise is not normally associated with wheel bearings, they will start to whine and or rumble. Jack the car up and see if there is any slop in the bearings, also spin them and see if you can hear a noise, i would get a qualified mechanic to check your diagnosis before committing to any repairs , he will have to hear the noise to make a judgment.
