2000 Pontiac Grand Am tranny bumps loud when shifting

When I shift from park to drive the tranny bumps hard then it shifts hard going down the road

Start by checking the motor and trans mounts, you may have a broken or collapsed mount.

If mounts are OK, then it is internal hydraulic pressure problem, or shift solenoid.
