2000 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

THROTTLE STICKS IDLES HIGH .I REPLACED THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR BUT IT STILL STICKS .DO YOU THINK THAT IT CAN BE THE CABLES.

can be, or a worn shaft on the throttle plate, remove the cable, operate it by hand, does it return normally? Idle OK? then replace cable.
