2000 Pontiac Grand Am brake hopping?

2000 Pontiac Grand Am Automatic 90000 miles

When I step on the brakes, it feels like my brakes start hopping. They make the car chug.I feel it very slightly when I am driving up to 30 mph but once I pass the 30 mph mark it does it very badly

Check the rear drums/rotors for excessive wear. Check the rear shocks by pushing down on the rear of the car, if it bounces, then the shocks/struts are bad.
Also look at the rear suspension for worn bushings.
