1999 Pontiac Grand Am loss of power steering

Lost power steering, fluid on passenger side tires, battery light came on & temp gauge went way up and then back down. What could cause this?

Most likely the PS pump or hoses are leaking and causing the belt to slip causing the alt. Light to illuminate.

Temp gauge sender electrical connetor could also be contaminated by PS fluid causing erratic readings.
