1999 Pontiac Grand Am I cannot find where the dip stick goe

I canot find wher the dip stick goes for the transmission I lost the stick well I bought the car and the stick was missing I dont know if its manul or automatic I bought it and cant find the guy who sold it help!

If it is an automatic transmission, I believe the system is sealed and there is no dipstick for the trans. If it does have one, it should be on the driver's side behind the engine.
