I have an annoying creeking sound when I turn coming from the steering column. What is this from or how do we fix? Is it a signal of something larger?

Start by checking the front end steering/suspension components:

Raise car, put on stands. Grasp tire and push/pull both horizontally and vertically, if any movement then possible wheel bearing, ball joint, tie rod, control arm bushing.

Check CV boots for any signs of leakage or cuts/rips in rubber boot.

If everything is OK, then the steering column will have to be removed and inspected.
