1998 Pontiac Grand Am 4 cyl Automatic

I hsve an antifreeze leak but its a slow leak. I will put isopme in and it will slowly leak out I brought it somewhere and they told me I have a cracked hose but I also have to replace my water pump should I get a second opioion if it was mu water pump would'nt it leak faster

Faulty water pumps will normally cause an extremely loud noise. You can visually inspect the pump and see if it is leaking any coolant. If it isn't leaking and it is not making noise then it is probably okay, so a second opinion would be a good idea before replacing it.
