1997 Pontiac Grand Am 4 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 135000 miles

My problem is pretty simple. I press on the gas not even 5mph and my car grinds severly on the left driver front wheel. It does not make the noise when I make turns (left or right), just when I accelerate. I recently replaced my brakes and rotors about half a year ago, and there are no other problems with the car.

Sounds like a possible wheel bearing, jack up that side and try to shake the wheel by hand, kave another person watch for sloppy ball-joinys or tie rods, if the wheel is moving and the joints are not you have a loose wheel bearing.
