I have a 97 pontiac grand am. I have had to replace both front pads and rotors three times within 6 months. The back pads are barely worn. The front rotors heat up an when I brake it feels like most of my braking is done in the front. The back shoes are ajusted properlly and my calipers are not seized. I cant keep buying pads every other month. If anyone knows what is causing this problem please let me know

Are they calipers ever replaced or rebult? Are they releasing when you release the brakes? Front does 70-80% of braking and back only 20 mainly for stability. Should have any affect at all with the front brakes wearing that fast. Unless you stop fast and sudden often. Just make sure brake fluid isnt overfilled and the brakes are unapply after being applied.
