Shakes or Wobbles problem
1997 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

the car shakes bad between 55 and 70 miles an hour then smooths out. When stopped it makes really weird noises and shakes but is then ok after put in neutral

Is car misfiring?

I would start by checking the motor mounts, you may have a collapsed/broken mount.

When shaking at speed, it could be an alignment/suspension problem.

Are your tires wearing unevenly?
