Honestly, either could cause it along with other problems. Has the check engine light come on?

I previously had a 0335 and a 0300 code and replaced the crank sensor and the coil tower which seems to have the engine running very smooth and strong. My gut feeling is that the Cat was probably damaged before I got this car from bad ignition (0300) and dumped a lot of fuel into the Cat and subsequently burned it out.

That is very possible. Have you checked it?

Replaced the Cat and ran it for about 1 hour to burn in the new one and reset code from battery disconnect and it passed with flying colors. Old was almost completely plugged and had taken fuel damage.

Thanks for the help!
